If you've always wanted to pick up calligraphy but couldn't find the time, this workshop is for you!

With The Letter J Supply, you will learn how the traditional dip pen works in a modern context and the fundamentals of letterforms in a relaxed environment. Take away home skills that you can use to create simple notes and cards!

Materials provided (all for you to keep!):
- Practice pad with exemplars and guide sheets
- Nibs
- Ink
- Pen Holder

 

About The Letter J Supply

Trained as a graphic designer, Joanne picked up calligraphy whilst on holiday in New York. The lessons had a great impact on her practice; upon returning to Singapore, she felt drawn to writing with her hands and slowly steered away from designing with the computer.

It may seem like taking a step backward, but calligraphy has taught her so much about perseverance, about becoming more human and working more with her heart than her head. Joanne believes that words are powerful and art can change the atmosphere of a space. Currently running The Letter J Supply, Joanne makes customised pieces for clients and retails her works at lifestyle shops in Singapore.

To date, Joanne has conducted over 100 workshops in Singapore (since 2014).
